Close to the city. Full of character. Not always easy to move in.
Glebe sits right on the edge of the CBD - walking distance to the university, the bay, and Broadway - but its housing stock is largely Victorian-era terraces and Federation homes that have not changed much since they were built. Narrow streets, tight internal staircases, and properties where the front door is the only viable access point are the norm rather than the exception.
Billy and Jet are used to this type of move. They plan the truck position in advance, work efficiently within the access constraints, and handle furniture disassembly and reassembly as a matter of course on Glebe jobs. No improvising on the day.
Whether you are moving out of Glebe to the Northern Beaches or North Shore, or arriving from interstate, Billy and Jet handle both ends of the move.
Glebe Point Road is one of those main streets where you cannot simply park the truck and expect to hold the position. The side streets off it - Forsyth Street, Cowper Street, the terrace rows running toward Jubilee Park - are tight, permit-restricted, and have front entries as the only viable access point.
Bridge Road provides better loading access for properties on the western side of the suburb near Harold Park, but the traffic from the Broadway end makes timing important. Billy plans the approach based on the specific property address.
Harold Park on the western side of the suburb - built on the site of the former harness racing track - has introduced a new residential environment into Glebe that sits alongside the Victorian terrace streetscapes rather than replacing them. The apartment buildings here are newer, better serviced for moving, and have the strata access infrastructure that the older terrace streets simply do not. It is one of the more interesting moving contrasts in the inner west - nineteenth century terraces one block, twenty-first century apartments the next.

"Glebe terrace with one access point and tight stairs. Billy and Jet had the furniture sequence planned before they started. Clean move, nothing damaged."- Hugo R., Glebe terrace move
